Programs on the Unfolding of the Holocaust in Europe

Our Programs on the Unfolding of the Holocaust in Europe foster research in regions where the Holocaust took place and where its study received limited societal, institutional, and financial support. While centered on and in Eastern Europe—the site of the mass murder of European Jewry—our work supports scholarship and networks of researchers across the continent.

Sustaining Holocaust research in Ukraine is a core priority of our programming. The generosity of the Piotr and Basheva Polsky Memorial Initiative for the Study of Ukrainian Jewry enables us to provide support and guidance to Holocaust scholars in Ukraine through a dedicated stipend program.
