March 15 marks the tenth anniversary of the deadly conflict in Syria. This decade of violence has cost the lives of more than 500,000 Syrians and displaced more than 12 million—over half the Syrian population—as part of the world’s largest humanitarian crisis since World War II. We come together at this somber moment to stand in solidarity with the Syrian people and let them know they have not been forgotten.

This commemoration will be held in cooperation with the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Syrian survivors will speak and we will receive an update on the risks facing civilians in Idlib, western Aleppo, Assad detention centers, and northeastern Syria, as well as the current implementation of justice and accountability measures.

The event will be available in English and Arabic.
