Burma’s Path to Genocide

Exhibition

In 2017, violence against the Rohingya in Burma, also known as Myanmar, forced some 700,000 to flee for their lives. Many remain in neighboring Bangladesh today. This exhibition explores how the Rohingya, a Muslim minority, went from citizens to outsiders—and became targets of a sustained campaign of genocide.

The exhibition features audio, video, photography, and first-person testimony. Guest curator Greg Constantine, a photojournalist, has been documenting the community since 2006.

This installation is funded in part by Todd and Christine Fisher, Robert H. Smith Family Foundation, David Marchick and Pamela Kurland, and Dan K. Wassong.
