International Academic Programs

International Academic Programs, a branch of the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies, promotes the vitality of Holocaust studies around the world. By focusing on key areas and bringing together established and emerging scholars, we cultivate international research networks, support the production and dissemination of new scholarship, and build partnerships with institutions globally. Our vision is a thriving, interconnected community of Holocaust scholars worldwide.

  • Advancing scholarship on understudied areas and transnational Holocaust histories across Europe by fostering research networks and institutional cooperation.

  • Exploring the global history of the Holocaust and its aftermath, with particular focus on sites of transit, refuge, and exile.

  • Bringing together scholars from around the world to exchange ideas, develop new directions in Holocaust studies, forge new collaborative ventures, and explore unique archival holdings.
