Voyage of the St. Louis
In the spring of 1996, Museum staff launched a project to trace the fate of the 937 passengers of the St. Louis after they were dispersed to England, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands in the summer of 1939. The results of this effort can be viewed in several ways from this page.
Passengers can be searched by name, or by country of disembarkation (Belgium, England, France, The Netherlands, Cuba). The Passenger list presents all 937 passengers (a non-searchable list, displaying the names as they appeared in 1939).
The information presented here will be updated as more is learned. Inquiries or information about specific passengers may be addressed to stlouis@ushmm.org.
