The primary source for this name register is the original listing compiled by the World Jewish Congress and held as microfilm by USHMM Archives in RG 39.013M reel 10. This original list contained numerous errors and omissions, which have been rectified and amended through a comparison with the records of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Abstract:
List of about 300 Jews, mostly Hungarians, who were sent on the first "Kasztner train" from Bergen-Belsen to Switzerland in August 1944. The data include name, maiden name, date and place of birth and profession. Many of the professions listed are unclear such as "household" and "scholar". This reflects how they appeared on the original list.
