Abstract:
- This CD-ROM contains (in both German and English versions):
- - Database with information on the fates of ca. 62,000 Austria victims of the Holocaust, the entries of which include last and first name, birth date, place of deportation and (where known) place and date of death.
- - Documentation describing the Holocaust for Austria Jews with an emphasis on the places of deportation; further documentation is also provided concerning the key year of 1938, Jewish victims of Euthansia, the smaller transports to concentration camps 1943-1945, and information about those Jews who fled from Austria only to be murdered later.
- - Nearly 900 photographs, among which are 350 images from the "Recognition Service Files" [="Erkennungsdienstlichen Kartei"] of the Vienna Gestapo, published here for the first time.
- - A Foreword by Simon Wiesenthal; Letters, Descriptions and Documents read by Fritz Muliar, Elisabeth Orth und Otto Tausig and maps of Europe and Vienna.
