Abstract:
Handwritten dwelling by dwelling register of the pre-War Jewish population of the town of Michaliszki, Poland (present-day Mikhalishki in Belarus) compiled from memory by Holocaust survivors. Listings include names, family relationships and sometimes occupation or other information such as locations of post-War emigration of death during pogroms. Additional notes added to listings indicate both those who survived the Holocaust who were still living as of the list's creation and also those who survived the Holocaust but had since passed away. A handwritten piece of poetry is attached. Registry copy lacks map.
