Description:
This grouping contains applications for various farming allotments. Most of the applications include correspondence written by the applicant (or group of applicants) to Der Aelteste der Juden in Litzmannstadt requesting the allocation for land and supplies needed for farming. Many of the people applying for land had previously farmed, but lost their land. The applications include a statement of the request (including what they wish to grow), an explanation as to why they need the supplies or land, their names, and in some cases, the location of their previous land. Some of the applications include requests for money for goods that were confiscated or stolen.
