Description:
This grouping contains documents related to Jewish teachers and the education of Jews under Nazi persecution. Includes correspondences, certificates, transcripts, files, newspaper articles, reports, contracts and other documents that deal with Jewish teachers teaching in German schools, the dismissal of Jewish teachers, the recruitment of Jewish teachers at Jewish schools, the qualification and work experience of Jewish teachers, the personal records of Jewish teachers, Jewish professors at public universities, the registration of teachers at Jewish schools, foreign language classes for Jewish students, physical education for Jewish girls, crafting, the teaching of private lessons, Jewish religion classes, the establishment of Jewish schools, the establishment of Jewish training workshops, the change of school facilities, the appointment of headmasters, the reorganization of Jewish schools (dismissal of teachers, integration of grades etc.), class schedules and class curriculum, the report about the number of students in Jewish schools, the registration of students attending Jewish schools, the enrollment of students of “mixed Jewish blood” (“Mischlinge”) in German schools, the ban of Jewish students from public German schools, the order to move Jewish schools to Jewish quarters, the prohibition of school attendance of Jewish students employed in German factory, further education, the prohibition of apprenticeships offered by Jews and special permissions for Jewish college students to use the public library and archives for research purposes.
