According to a Professor Cazacu from Balti and based on an unpublished monograph written by Mihail P. Carcea, a teacher from Burlanesti, the following 13 Jews belonging to five families were shot in the village of Burlanesti, Hotin district (today the Edineti district), Bessarabia, at the very end of June or the beginning of July, 1941
