Paragraph #2 of 3rd Labor Battalion order no. 47 for 1941 names 35 ethnic Bulgarians and 69 Jews who were released from service or whose service was postponed, on the recommendation of a medical control commission. YOBs and hometowns are supplied alongside the name of each man. The ethnic Bulgarians are referred to as "junior labor troops" while the Jews were called "reserve labor troops". Of the Jews, 35 had been assigned to the 2nd, 17 to the 3rd, and 15 to the 4th Construction Company of the 3rd Labor Battalion. The names of the Jews were arranged by hometown within each Construction Company grouping.
