Order no. 42 for 1941 of the 5th Labor Battalion names salaried officers and NCOs for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Construction Companies along with those of the Technical and Support (domakinska) Companies. The men's hometowns, salaries, and marital status are also given. With only two exceptions based on their names, all of the men listed appear to have been Jews. They bear the ranks of captain, lieutenant in charge (poruchik), subaltern (podporuchik), and NCO. The rate of compensation for officers was stated as 40 leva per day, and that for NCOs at 30 leva per day.
