Angelina Jolie and John did something completey laudable. really interested in knowing what the next step will be. Angelina Jolie involvement is likely to draw attention to what has been qualified as the "forgotten conflict". Thanks to her

I think it hard for young americans with everything they have to imagine living the way the people in africa do. I think it's to much to take in all at once. Alot of people
don't understand or even know what the people of africa have to go through everyday. I believe that Angelina and John have made me more aware of what I really have , and aware of the suffering that our world never really get to see. They are doing a wonderful job and, I hope they continue to inform us and let us know how we can help.

I had stumbled onto this from People magazine and found the information interesting/informative, that I had past it along to a friend who has the compassion as I do for human suffering...

How is it that we live in a world that anything is within reach, while there are places on this earth that suffering is going on, each and every day, that is taken for granted

My quesion is, how come nothing is being done to help them, so they dont have to worry aobut where the next meal is coming from, safety, place to live, education, war where young boys are fighting and dying.

I was struck by the personal nature of Angelina's testimony and her ability to convey how people experience suffering on an individual level. John's comments helped to provide a geopolitical context for the human suffering that Angelina brought to light. I think that both are equally valuable.
