Student Profile:
M. Rajs
Gender: girl
School:
Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
The students at the gymnasium and high school for girls in 1941 were born between 1921 and 1927. Mindla Rajs was born in 1921 so I think I have a match and would like to continue the research on her.
I found two addresses for her: Bleicher 18 7 and Moltke 85

I agree with your reasoning--thank you for your great comment! Mindla does seem to be the most likely match for M. Rajs, so you are welcome to continue research on her.

User Comment:
I went through all the names in the hopital, labor, deportation, and administrative records with the last name Rajs. I was searching for people with the same address as Mindla Rajs. I ended up finding 3 names with the same address. Two of the people, I believe were her parents: Frymet Rajs (mother) and Szulim Rajs (father). The other name, Natan Rajs born in 1926, I believe was her brother. Szulim Rajs occupation was Kaufmann.
