Upon looking through the databases available on Stage 1 and Stage 2, I think you are most likely correct connecting "S. Turko" with the Sara Gitla Turkow who died on March 8th, 1944. However, before I can mark the information as confirmed, additional information needs to be submitted, such as the her name & Date of Birth. Also, it appears that she has a double entry in the database, as there is a Sala Turko with the same birthdate and Ghetto Address. By entering all of this information, it creates a much more cohesive picture for future research on this person.

Also, an interesting note, if you check the Secondary Sources option under "Select a database to perform your research" a .pdf will pop up that, among other things, shows dates of deportation from Lodz to various other locations. On March 4th & March 10th, there were deportations from Lodz to Czestochowa, another Polish Jewish city that had been turned into a ghetto by the Nazis. If she did in fact die on the 8th, it could be assumed that she may have perished in the brutality of the round-ups (and given that the deportation on the 10th consisted of mainly younger men/women, she would have been in the targeted range). Since the paperwork kept during this time was far from perfect and the round-ups were especially chaotic, it might be worth continuing on into some of the further stages of research with her two names in the off-chance that her date of death was an assumption(perhaps she was missing and assumed dead, or it passed through the grapevine that she had been killed, etc.)

It's definitely a bit of a longshot, but people slipped through the cracks all the time -- and that always makes for the most interesting research.

Back to original point, I will mark this as "Possible" for now until additional information on "S. Turkow" is inserted into the database, at which point, I would be comfortable "Confirm"ing the information.

Great job so far and keep up the good work!
