Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
The best match seemed to be Nutek Rzepkowicz/Przepkowicz
Approver Comment:
I agree. In 1941 he would have been 14 years old, just old enough to attend Gymnasium.

I found 3 other people living at Pfeffergasse 4 with Nutek. They were Eliasz Przepkowicz born 6 Feb 1893 (appears with the last name Rzepkowicz and slightly different information 5 Oct 1893 birthdate, 22 Feb 1944 death date) Rachela Przepkowicz nee Prost born 23 Feb 1901 (appears with surname Rzepkowicz and slightly different birthdate of 25 Feb 1901) and lastly Estera born 6 sept 1921 and appears again with birthdate 6 March 1921. I'm assuming they are Nutek's parents and sister.

In the Dachau Concentration Camp records I found a Natan Rzepkowicz born 20 May 1925 in Ozerkow. He lived at Pffergass 4 in the Lodz Ghetto. He was prisoner number 97249, he arrived at camp on 01 Sep 1944. And it says he was liberated from Dachau.

Wow, amazing work! Have you been able to find any information on him in stage 5 or information after the war? You can add Dachau as his place of liberation in stage 5.

User Comment:
I found Natan in the Sh'arit ha-pl'atah with the birthdate 1925 and birthplace of Oszakow, Poland and his last residence was listed as Feldafing which was a displaced persons camp in Germany. I then found him in the World Jewish Congress with his parents listed as Rechel and Jeszaja RZEPKOWICZ. I did a Google search and couldn't find anymore information on Natan.

This could possibly be our Nutek, but without a confirmed date of birth and no connection between Nutek and Ozorkow, we can't know for certain.
