This is the only result that comes up when searching for Jakob Gnat. His birth date falls into the range for school children of 21B.

I agree you've found the correct student. Jakob would have been 13-years-old when he signed the album! What do you think the "ZUR ARB A.G. 23.6.44" note means? If Jakob was in the ghetto as late as 1944 he survived the mass deportations in 1942. I'm looking forward to seeing what you uncover in stage two! Good luck!
