School #1
School #1 was a religious school for boys in Lodz. Most students at School #1 in September 1941 were between 9 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1932.
School #1 was located at Goplánska 26. The street name was changed to Buchbinderstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Goplánska and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
we believe its Majer Landau and we beleive this because it is the only Majer Landau that was born in between those certain dates to go to that certain scholl that he went to.
Approver Comment:
I agree that you have found the Majer Landau who signed the album for school #1. As you suggest, he is the only possibility in the database who was born between 1926 and 1932, making him an appropriate age to have attended school #1 in 1941. (Make sure you explain this process more clearly in the comments, please!)
Also note his addresses: Hohensteinerstrasse 74, apartment 32, and Litzmanstadtstrasse 3.
Good work! See you in stage 2.

User Comment:
we beleive he went to Chelmno because he was deported in june of 1944 and in the important dates you gave us you said that during june of 1944 every one got sent to chelmeno. the thing tht said that was ABG 23.6.44A.G.
Approver Comment:
I agree with your reasoning--while the record doesn't say he was deported to Chelmno, we know that transports during that time went to Chelmno.
The "date" field still says September, not June. As soon as you fix that I can approve this stage. (You can also add Chelmno as the "deported to" place.)

In the "research source," you should be able to scroll down to a database that lists that information--if not, go back to the first database and copy the name of the database, then add it to the source field here. I can't confirm this research until you list the source properly. Additionally, you entered the date of deportation as September 23, not June 23--please correct this entry, and then we can discuss your research. Thanks!
