User Comment:
I did both an exact and fuzzy search for F* Pat, but nothing came up. When I did a DM Soundex search, however, I found Fiszel Patt, whose name was the closest match to Fiszek Pat. In addition, his birth year makes him the appropriate age to have attended School #20A.

I do agree you have found the student who signed the book! Minor spelling differences can be a result of translation mistakes or simply that the handwriting was difficult to read. Good luck in the following stages!

User Comment:
I matched Fiszel to his family by looking for people with the same last name who lived at the same addresses. I found Fiszel's father (Szlama, b. 1880, although he could also be his grandfather), mother (Ester, b. 1900), and three brothers (Eljasz, b. 1927) (Moses, b. 1929) (Dawid, b. 1933).
All members of the family were deported on March 10, 1942, during the month of daily deportations to Chelmno.

Thank you for adding Fiszek's family to the record. Due to the deportation date we have to assume that the family was killed in Chelmno. Thank you for your research!
