Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

Good job. Also note that Jacub's ghetto addresses were MATROSEN 39 2 and ZIEGEL 21. Occupation is listed as Schueler.

Given their addresses. Hirsz and Basza do seem the most likely candidates as Jacub's parents. Note that Basza would have been around 35 years old and Hirsz would have been nearly 45 years old when Jacub was born.

A few thoughts here... First, I am assuming that you used the secondary sources to deduce that Jakob was registered at Auschwitz on October 2, 1944 because the database lists his prisoner number as 118213. If this was his Auschwitz number (rather than his Sachsenhausen number), then it would appear that you are correct. So, fantastic job using the secondary sources in conjunction with primary source information to create a fuller picture! In addition, please enter the different spelling of Jacub's name (ie, Jakob Kacenalenbogen) and the slightly different birth date (ie, November 18, 1928) which are listed in this document. Finally, be sure to move the information you entered in Stage 3 over to Stage 4 (ie, Deported from Auschwitz to Sachsenhausen and the prisoner number). Fantastic research!!!
