Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
I could not find the person based on the name given, so I googled her to see if there was anything out on the internet. A name change came up, and I found the new last name in the database. The rest of the information seems to fit, which leads me to believe that it is the same person.

adenee4 - When you did your search in the Lodz Ghetto Database, did you try setting it for "sounds like"? If you do that, then the alternate spelling of Henryka's last name appears. I like that you thought to use Google (good job), but it wasn't necessary in this case. Also, use the COMMENTS field to enter things like a person's address in the ghetto. In this case, Henryka moved from Aleja 1 Maja 23 to Reiter Strasse 5 Flat 26.
