School #8B
School #8 was a school for girls in Lodz. The students in #8b attended classes in the afternoon. Most students were between 9 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1932.
School #8b was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 26. The street name was changed to Alexanderhof when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

Expert Reviewer Comment:
Okay... So, I replicated this research, and so far it looks like the most likely match. You are correct that the birth date fits nicely in the appropriate age range for a student at her school. I believe there is a strong argument for Brucha and Bajla being the same girl. So, I'm marking this as "possible." However, it is with the following caveats...
Just because Bajla and Brucha begin with "B's" doesn't mean they are the same. When I search just the last name of Medrzycka AND a birth range between 1924-1934 (ie, 1929 +-5yrs), I find a Chana Medrzycka and Sara Miedzcka who were born at the right time to be students at school 8B, too. Assuming that Brucha was a nickname (it means "blessing" in yiddish), then it could conceivably have applied to any of these girls. So, while Bajla is definitely a possible match, it is not conclusive, in my opinion.

See my comments regarding Brucha's identity. If you were correct about her identity, then you would also be correct about her fate. Hopefully, this can be confirmed one way or another!
