Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
The only Dawid Berliner I found was born a year out of the age range 1921-1927 for Gymnasium and High school for boys...
I found Dawid Lajb Berliner born 17/07/1928 and he lived at R.Hess 47 and Sulzfelder 9 flat 14A. He then moved to Sulzfelder 7 on 28/01/1942. He appears with just the name Dawid and born 1928 and he lived at Sulz 9 flat 14.
Should he still be considered even though he doesn't fit the age range? And given the fact that there isn't any other Dawid Berliner's in the database?

I think we can consider Dawid Lajb Berliner, b. 1928, as a possibility, since there are no other immediate candidates. It would not be out of the realm of imagining that in the fog of the ghetto younger students than expected entered gymnasium. I'll keep this marked possible until we know more.
