Yad Vashem CDSVN: @ Lodz Names - List of the ghetto inhabitants 1940-1944, Yad Vashem and the Organization of former residents of Lodz in Israel, Jerusalem 1994: dob is 10/10/31; states that he perished but no further info given; street address in ghetto: Kelm Strasse 16a FLAT 1; new address in ghetto, Alt Ring House #13. There are several pages of testimony for someone with this name, but no identifying date of birth.

CNI has two additional objects that relate to this name. There is no image associated with either, but the attributes describe information coming from 1.1.22.1 Ghetto Littzmannstadt 9/1104 (Finel Mordka, dob 10/06/31) and 9/1107 (Fiszel Mordcha, dob 10/10/31). So - is Finel a misspelling of Fiszel? Are these the same person?

conclusion: Mordka Finel Sieradzki can be considered an alternate spelling for Mordcha Fiszel Sieradzki.
Approver Comment:
Given that the Lodz Ghetto Database provides consistent information -- Mordka Finel SIERADSKI (born 10/10/1931) and Mordcha Fiszel SIERADZKI (born 10/06/1931) both lived at Kelm Strasse 16 and moved to Alt Ring House #13 (Altmarkt 13) in the ghetto -- I think it is a safe conclusion that "Finel" is a misspelling of "Fiszel." Please add "Mordka Finel Sieradski" as an alternate spelling of this student's name in the database. Thanks!

Once you have entered a piece of data from a particular source, it is not necessary to add it again if it comes from the same source (ie, you already added his name and birth date as found in the Lodz Ghetto Database in Stage 1).

This is plausible, but not yet confirmable because there is no other identifying information given.
