School #8A
School #8 was a school for girls in Lodz. The students in #8a attended classes in the morning. Most students were between 7 and 13 years old, meaning that they were born between 1928 and 1934.
School #8a was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 25. The street name was changed to Alexanderhof when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
Since Estera Borkowska was in School #8A (which included girls born between the years 1928 and 1934), I deduced that because she was born in 1930, this was the same Estera documented in the Inhabitants database.
In the notes in the database, "AUSG TR 7" is listed, which indicated that she was deported on transport 7 to Chelmno but I am still unsure of what date "Transport 7" departed Lodz.

I agree! Out of all the Estera Borkowskas in the database, only this one was born within the right age range to attend school #8A. Thank you for adding her addresses.
I hope we are able to find more information about her deportation in later stages. Best of luck.

User Comment:
I decided that the mother and siblings were related based one each of their ages compared to Estera as well as the fact that they all resided at the same address.

I agree that you have found Estera's family. Also, don't forget to look under Borkowski for family members (and for Estera herself, in later stages)--Borkowski and Borkowska are the same name, with different gendered endings (for more on this, watch the "names" tutorial in the community center). Thank you as well for not jumping to conclusions about her deportation--it is likely this deportation went to Chelmno, but it is not certain. I hope we are able to learn more about what happened to her.
