Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

I agree you have found the student who signed this name in the album. Please remember to list his date of death (where did you find this information?) in the appropriate field on the next stage.

I only found one other person living at Sperlinggasse 15, 16. He was Mojzesz Pinkus born 04/04/1923. I couldn't find Abram or Mojzesz's parents. Abram died in the Ghetto on 9 March 1942.

Thank you for adding the information about Abram's family, and for helping to complete Abram's record.
The Chronicle of the Lodz Ghetto reads: "In March 1942, 2,244 people died in the ghetto . . . there was a shocking increase in the mortality rate in March. The causes are hunger, the protracted winter, and the resettlement campaign."
