School #17A
School #17 was a school for girls in the Lodz ghetto; school #17a met in the morning. In 1941, students ranged in age from 6 to 13 years old (most were 8 to 11 years old), meaning they were born between 1928 and 1935.
School #17 was located at Młynarska 25. The street name was changed to Mühlstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See

I searched the database under the exact setting of the Advanced Names Search for the last name of Loszynska, and it returned no matches. When I searched under the fuzzy setting, there were 146 different entries for names that were variations of similar names and spellings. The closest name that I was able to find was that of "Losinska," and there was one child that seemed as if she could be an appropriate match based on age, name similarities, and occupation. Felicja Losinska was born on September 6, 1928 (which puts her in the appropriate age range for attending School #17A). Her occupation was listed as that of a Schuelerin (student). She resided at Alexhof 8 52 and Alexhof 25. There was no further information that appeared in her notes.

I agree! This is the only person with a close enough name who would have been the right age to attend school #17a in 1941. Excellent work.

I searched the database under the exact settings for the names of Losinska and Losinski, and it returned 4 matches for people that resided at the same addresses as Felicja. I also was able to find a 3rd spelling (Loszynski) for 3 of the 5 family members. Icchok Losinski/Icek Loszynski was born in 1899. He was the oldest male recorded as living at the Alexhof 25 22 address, and I believe that he was Felicja's father. Rywka Losinski was born in 1900. SHe was the oldest female listed at the residence, and I believe that she was Felicja's mother. Tamara Losinska/Tamara Losinski/Tamara Loszynski (3 has all 3 variations of the last name listed under entries) was born on June 24, 1926. I believe that she was Felicja's older sister. Moszek Losinski/Mojsze Loszynski was born on May 3, 1934. He is the only other child listed at the residence, and I believe that he was Felicja's younger brother. I was unable to find out what happened to Icek, Tamara, and Felicja. Entry notes indicate that Rywka and Moszek were deported (likely to Chelmno based on dates listed in Secondary Sources) on September 10, 1942.
