Gender: girl
School:
School #6
School #6 taught boys and girls who were deaf or hard-of-hearing. Since it was the only school for children who were deaf in the Lodz Ghetto, its students ranged in age from 6 to 20 years old, and were born between 1921 and 1935.
School #6 was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 45. The street name was changed to Alexanderhofstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
I began by searching for Chaja Przewoznik and found one exact match. I also could confirm the match because Chaja Przewoznik's birthdate fell in the birthdate range given based on the school she attended (school #6). Next I looked to see where she lived in the ghetto. she was noted to be located at BRUNNEN 16 1, and that was the only address given in the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database meaning she was most likely on an early transport out of Lodz. We also determined that she lived at this address with her mother Jochweta and her two siblings, Fjga and Herszel. We determined this by searching for inhabitants who had the same last name at Chaje who lived at the same ghetto address and who were on the same transport as her.Next I continued research by trying to see where she was transported to. Based on the information given regarding her transport date (April of 1942) we can for sure say that she was transorted to Chelmno where she was killed in a gass van along with over 2,000 other Lodz inhabitants.

I agree this is the student who most likely signed the album. As you note, in 1941 she would have been 6 years old, just old enough to attend school #6.
The single address would not be enough to convince me she was deported early, but the date listed in the "ghetto note" field is. Thank you for your careful reading--you can go ahead and enter that information into the next stage.

Chaja Ita Przewodnik born 27 Feb 1929 and she lived at Brunnenstrasse 16 flat 7 is also a match for Chaja Przewoznik.
