School #6
School #6 taught boys and girls who were deaf or hard-of-hearing. Since it was the only school for children who were deaf in the Lodz Ghetto, its students ranged in age from 6 to 20 years old, and were born between 1921 and 1935.
School #6 was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 45. The street name was changed to Alexanderhofstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
Lajbuz Blizinski born 1929 and he lived at Hanseaten 25 flat 8 and moved to Insel 35 on 16/08/1942.
I had already considerded Lejb but I thought Lajbus sounded more similar to Lajbisz... But, i think we should consider both boys.
Lejb Palasznicki born 18/05/1935 and lived at Hohens 78 flat 14. He was deported on 11/09/1942.
Expert Reviewer Comment:
Great work! I agree that Lajbuz was the student who most likley signed the albumn.

We've seen Lajb, Lejb, Laib, Lajbus, Lajbusz, and Lajbisz all as variations on this same name, so it isn't surprising that we'd see Leib and Laibisz refer to the same person.

User Comment:
Lajbus's Family
I found Blima born 1901 and Jankiel born 15/02/1931 and Gitman born 1890 all living at the same address. Gitman also appears with the birthdate of 18/03/1925...
Lejb's family
I found all living at the same address Josek born 1882, Blima born 1890, Dwojra born 20/9/1919, Rachela born 1/1/1924,Leja born 22/6/1927, Mindla born 21/4/1922, and Basia born 18/10/1929. According to the seondary resources if Lejb was deported in September of 1942 then he was sent to Chelmno and killed in the gas vans. He was the only one of his family members to be deported.

I agree with the relationships as you list them here. We still don't know for certain which one signed the album, but thank you for helping to complete Lejb's record.
