Gender: boy
School:
School #6
School #6 taught boys and girls who were deaf or hard-of-hearing. Since it was the only school for children who were deaf in the Lodz Ghetto, its students ranged in age from 6 to 20 years old, and were born between 1921 and 1935.
School #6 was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 45. The street name was changed to Alexanderhofstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
I found Szmul Zwilich born 1929 and he lived at Salz 9 and Reiter 17 12. I believe he was Szmuel Cwilich since the names are practically the same and he was born between 1921 and 1935.
Szmul Lajb Cwilich was born on 12/12/1927 and he lived at B Ring (Balruter Ring?) 8 and Steinmetz 1 24. He was deported on TR 10.

I agree that either of these boys could have signed the album. Nice work!

User Comment:
I found Basia born 1902 and Icchok Majer born 1927 living at the same address and deported on the same day of March 11, 1942. According to the secondary sources the family would have been sent to Chelmno and perished in the gas vans.
For the family of Szmul 1927 I found Abram Hilel born 1903 and had a ghetto note of ABG 15.1.41 A.G. and Estera born 1902 and Cywja born 2/10/1933 and everyone except Abram was deported on TR 10.

I agree with your conclusions. Thank you for helping to complete both possible candidates' records. What do you think happened to Abram?
