School #6
School #6 taught boys and girls who were deaf or hard-of-hearing. Since it was the only school for children who were deaf in the Lodz Ghetto, its students ranged in age from 6 to 20 years old, and were born between 1921 and 1935.
School #6 was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 45. The street name was changed to Alexanderhofstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
The olny Pinchas Berkowicz that came up in the search that fit the years of 1921 and 1935 was Pinhcas Mordch Berkowicz born 04/01/1931 and he lived at Hamburg 16 3 and Ludenor 46.

I agree that this is the person that signed the albumn. Great work!

User Comment:
I found the following people living at Hambuger 16 3. Frajdla Berkowicz born 1903, Szymon born 22/06/1888, Hersz born 22/11/1915, and Roza born 17/04/1921. I'm not sure how the relationships are but I'm guessing Frajdla is the mother of Roza and Pinchas. She wouldn't of been old enough to be the mother of Hersz and he wouldn't of been old enough to be their father.

Hmm, I'm not sure either. I guess we'll never no for certain. Great work!

I agree that Frajdla is most likely Pinchas's mother; as for the others, it's difficult to ascertain the relationships. Nice work.
