Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
I searched the database under the fuzzy setting of the last name "Rothajtz" and it returned multiple matches. Three of which are for the same boy (2 have his date of birth listed as December 31, 1925 and the third is 1926), Szyja Rothajm, that fit into the age range for attending Gymnasium. All three entries have shared addresses. One entry lists him as a Schueler, and his notes indicate a moving date of 10/10/42 to the Siegfried address. A second entry lists him as an Arbeiter, and has a deportation note of 7/7/44. The third entry listing his birth date of 1926 has nothing listed in his notes.

I agree you have found the person who most likely signed this name in the album. Great work piecing together all three records.
