User Comment:
A search for L* Horn (birthdate restricted to +/- 5 years of 1930) turned up only two results, of which Lajb was the only male. In addition, his birth year (1933) made him the right age to attend School #5.
Approver Comment:
Great work. I agree that Lajb is the Lajbl who signed this name in the album; as you suggest, in 1941 he would have been 8 years old, making him the right age to attend school #5.

User Comment:
I looked through the database and found only one other person with the same last name who had a matching address--Rykiel/Rykiela. Based on her birth year (two separate years were listed: 1901 and 1904), I concluded that she was probably Lajb's mother. In addition to the differing birth years, the addresses were also slightly different. However, the deportation date for Lajb and Rykiela (Sept. 10, 1942) was the same. According to the secondary sources, there was a deportation to Chelmno on this date.

Excellent work. Lajb and his mother would have been deported during the Gehsperre Aktion, which targeted the children in the ghetto for deportation to Chelmno. Thank you for helping to complete his record.
