User Comment:
By searching the database under a simple name search, I was able to find 2 young boys that could have signed the album. Josef Biniamin (also listed as Josek) Gotesgnade was born on February 9, 1931. He resided at Alt Markt 4 4, Am Bach 29, and Pilsud 56. His notes indicate a deportation date of July 3, 1944. Josef Gotesgnade (also listed as Josek) was born on April 4, 1926. he resided at Matrosen 23 and Pfeiffer 15. His notes indicate a deportation date of July 26, 1942.

I agree that either of these students might have signed this name in the album. Until we know more, I will mark this record as possible; please follow both students in the next stages.

User Comment:
By doing a simple search for the last name of Gotesgnade, I was able to find individuals that resided at the residences of both boys.
Josef Biniamin shared a home with Szaja (born October 19, 1902-I believe that he was Josef's father) and Moszek Mendel (born October 25, 1936. According to the deporation dates shared by Szaja and Josef, they would have been transported on July 3, 1944 to Chelmno where they would have perished in the gas vans. Moszek Mendel perished within the Lodz Ghetto on July 6, 1943 at the age of 7 from causes that I have not been able to find.
Josef shared his residence with his parents Aron Lajb (born May 26, 1892-I believe that he was Josef's father), Laja (born February 14, 1896-I believe that she was Josef's mother) as well as his siblings Rajzla (born May 5, 1923), Mana (born May 11, 1920), Chana (born May 11, 1920) and Abram (born April 3, 1913). Chana, Rajzla, and Josef all share the same deporation date of July 26, 1942. This particular date does not correspond with any dates listed under the secondary sources, but a date of July 16, 1942 to Auschwitz was the closest thing that I could find. I was unable to find anything further on any other family members.
