School #5 was a school that taught both boys and girls. Most students were between 7 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1934.
School #5 was located at Ulica Limanoskiego 45. The street name was changed to Alexanderhof when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Ulica Limanoskiego and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

Expert Reviewer Comment:
I believe that Estera Elbling is the Ester Elbling that signed the albumn. Great work! Next time please leave a comment and explain how you came to these conclusions.
Approver Comment:
I agree that you have found the student who signed the album. In 1941 she would have been 10 years old, the right age to attend school #5. As Emma suggested, please leave a comment next time telling us how you determined she was the right person. Also keep an eye out for the date in her "ghetto note": "AUSG 24.9.42."
One last detail before I can confirm your research on this stage: the addresses are written with the street number first, then the apartment number second. Currently, it looks like Estera lived at 816 Franzstrasse, whereas she actually lived at Franzstrasse 8, apartment 16. As soon as you break up the street and apartment numbers, I can confirm your research and we can move on to the next stages. Thanks!
