School #10 provided classes for girls; #10B met in the afternoon. Most students at School #10B in September 1941 were between 9 and 15 years old, meaning that they were born between 1926 and 1932.
School #10 was located at Ulica Franciszkańska 13. The street name was changed to Franzstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. You can read more about and see pictures of Ulica Franciszkańska at

User Comment:
There was a note underneath the address that said 'Alter Mark,' but I'm not sure what that means.

I agree that you have found the person who most likely signed this name in the album. In 1941 she would have been 13 years old, the right age to attend school #10b. Good luck in the next stages.

User Comment:
I believe Mendel (b. 1902) was the father of this family, and that Fajga had a couple of siblings; namely, Szmul Szymon (b. 1929, who I believe also signed the album), Gitla (b. 1932), Hinda (b. 1938), and Juda Hersz (b. 1938).
Their deportation date is listed as September 10, 1942, on which date there was a transport to Chelmo, and this is where I have concluded that these children were sent. Only Mendel, the father, has a different death record. According to his note, Mendel died (reason unknown) on November 18, 1943.

I agree that you have found Fajga's family. If she was deported in early September 1942, she would have been deported during the Gehsperre Aktion, which sent the oldest and youngest residents of the ghetto to Chelmno. Thank you for helping to complete her record.
