User Comment:

We searched Dwora Berger in the database and got nothing. However, when we searched D. Berger we found a Debora, a similiar sounding name. She also has a birthday that fits with the school Dwora went to.

I agree! Dwora might have been a name used in one language (Hebrew or Yiddish, perhaps?) with Debora a close Polish possibility. Please remove "Dwora" from the name field (since you didn't find a listing with that name in the database, leaving just "Debora Berger" up there), then tell me what age range you were looking for. Good work being creative when you got stuck.

Also note her addresses: Mittel 25, and Rauchgasse 31 #47. Good luck in stage 2!

Labor card indicates that she was employed as "Lehrling," probably meaning "apprentice" and her learned skill was listed as "Schulerin" meaning female student.

Wow. An amazing find! She was employed at the Trikotagenabteilung, one of the many garment-production workshops in the ghetto. I'm really excited to see what else you discover about her!
