After further research, I found in the Register of Jewish survivors Czeslaw Galster! His file number was
09/DSC00032.JPG, page 82, and his record number was 25565. The only thing now is I don't know what any of this means. I am assuming this means he survived, but I could not find any further information on her. |
I feel as if I found the Mother for Czeslaw Galster. I checked all the people with the last name of Galster in the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants database until I came across someone with a similiar address. Turns out, I found an identical address for a female named Lucy Galster. She was born on 18/12/1896, and also resided at Blaue 21 8 and Brunnen 16. Her occupation was that of a Buroangest, which I came to find out means a clerk. She also went by the name of Lucy Zabinska.
After more searching, I found another Lucy Galster, with a date of birth of 18/12/1826. These records say she lived at the same ghetto addresses as Czeslaw; Alexhof 21 8 and Brunnen 16. For this person, the occupation listed is a Hausfrau, which means housewife.
I also came across a Lucy Galstergrabinska, who was born on 18/12/1896. I feel as if this is the same person because the last name contains both last names for Lucy, just combined. This is the same birthdate as the first Lucy Galster I came across, but the only difference is the ghetto address. This Lucy lived at Brunnen 16 29. This may just be a more accurate residence though.
A possible cousin may be that of Rywka Galster. She was born 17/3/1916 and lived at Alexhof 28 22. That is similiar to Czeslaw and Lucy who resided at Alexhof 21 8. Her occupation was a Sreikerin, which I have not found out what it means.
