School:
Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
There are two different Dawid's listed in the Lodz Ghetto Database. One has the last name Auerbach and the other has the last name Aurbach. Both were students. I chose this one as most likely to be "D. Auerbach" because his birth date makes him more likely to have been in gymnasium and the spelling of his last name is an exact match.
He lived at Holz Strasse 11 before moving to Siegfried Strasse 32 Flat 2.
The other Dawid Aurbach was born on June 15, 1927 and lived at Rasherren 4a, then Admiral Scheer 12 Flat 3 before moving to Gnesener Strasse 3/7.

I agree with you. However, because they are both born between 1921 and 1927, we will have to list this as "possible" until we get conclusive data.
