Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
There are two possible people who could have signed the book. The two girls have the EXACT same name and they were both born in the range of years possible for signing the book.
Approver Comment:
I agree that both of these students are possible candidates to have signed the album as F. Kac in 1941 as students in the girls' Gymnasium. (Fajga Kac b. 1927 is also listed as Fajga Kuc.) Also check out Frymeta Kac (b. 1925) as another possibility.
Please also note their addresses:
1924 Fajga: Sperlinggasse 5 #10
1927 Fajga: B Ring 8, Steinmetz 1 #16
Frymeta: Muehlgasse 2 #7, Sulzfelderstrasse 19, Matrosen (after 28 June 1943)
If you think that all of these girls are possibilities, please enter Frymeta's information into the "name" and "date" fields and continue to look for all 3 in stage 2. Good luck!
