When searching for M. Friedrich there was only one boy who fit the age range 1921 and 1927 and he was Mendel Friedman born 1926 and he lived at Hausierer 8 flat 3 and Ost 72.

I agree this is the person who most likely signed this name in the album. As you suggest, there are no other M Friedrichs who were born in the right age to attend gymnasium.
