Gymnasium and high school for boys
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for boys was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
The best match I found when searching for Sz. Senior was Slzama Senior born 1926 and he lived at Brunnen 18 flat 3 and TTEL 13. He would have been the correct age for the Gymnasium and High School.
Expert Reviewer Comment:
I agree that you've found the correct student! I believe TTEL is Mittel so I think you could change that. See you in the next stages and good luck!

Arja/Aria Lajb Senior born 16/01/1905 or 16/11/1905, Raca Senior born 1901, and Eliasz Senior I believe are Szlama's mother, father and brother.

I found Szlama Senior on JewishGen "Mauthausen inmate list of Jews born in Łódź" it says he was born 25 Jan 1926 in Lodz, Poland, worked as a musiker, his prisoner number was 134173 and he arrived in camp in 1945 and he died 6 April 1945 in Solvay, Ebensee.
Expert Reviewer Comment:
I agree with your findings. Thanks for helping complete Szlama's record. I think you can enter in his biography now.

Wow. Thank you for helping complete Szlama's record. He died less than a month before the liberation of Ebensee--how very sad. Ebensee was a subcamp of Mauthausen; according to the secondary sources, "the Germans transferred a small number of Lodz ghetto Jews between August and October 1944 from
Auschwitz to Gross-Rosen, and, in March 1945, further on to Mauthausen."
The other record for him on this stage--Mauthausen inmate list of Jews born in Lodz--lists him as a Musiker, or musician. Somehow this helps to fill out a little more of his life. I wonder what instrument he played in the camp.
