I agree that Jakob Epsztein is likely the student who signed the album--we often see Epsztajn and Epsztein as analogues of one another, and this J(akob) would have been old enough to be attending Gymnasium in 1941. Please also list his addresses: Hohensteinstrasse 18 and Muehlgasse 15 #25 (you will notice that there are two records for him listed in the database on this stage--they both give you a different date, and it's up to you to figure out what each means).
