 Addresses: Otylii 78

 Sulzfelderstrasse 52 #4

When I searched "C. Mydlarz" in the database, there were multiple results. The only one that fit into the timeline was Cywja Mydlarz, born February 20th, 1922; making her the most plausible option. That led me to believe that Cywja is the C. Mydlarz I was looking for.

I agree that you have found the C. Mydlarz who signed the album--Cywja would have been 19 years old, at the end of her gymnasium studies, but would still have been of the appropriate age to have attended gymnasium. Note her addresses: Otylii 78 and Sulzfelderstrasse 52, #4. Thanks for taking the time to clarify your process, too.

According to the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants Database, Cywja was deported from the Lodz Ghetto on the  February 27th, 1942. According to the Deportation Timeline in the Secondary Sources there were multiple transports from February 22nd- 28th, 1942. All of these deportations were sent from the Lodz Ghetto to the Chelmno Extermination Camp.

I could not find any relatives of Cywja that had both of the same addresses. However, I did find people who I believe could be her uncle and cousins who did have the same address of Sulzf 52 4. I checked to see if Otyli was a street that was changed to the name of Ludendorf. After using the Jewishjen Database I found that they were not the same street. Which allowed me to conclude that Cywja did not live with these family members before they all lived in Sulzf 52 4.

Rywka Mydlarz was born in May of 1923 and has one address that is same as Cywja. She also was deported the same day as Cywja. I believe she could be a female cousin.

Rajzla Mydlarz was born in April of 1925 and has one address that is the same as Cywja. I believe that she could be the sister of Rywka because they share the same addresses. She too was deported February 27th of 1942. I believe she too could be a cousin of Cywja.

Lejbusz Jankel Mydlarz was born in September of 1928 and has one address that is the same as Cywja. I belive that he could be the brother of both Rywka and Rajzla because all of them have the same addresses. He was deported February 27th of 1942. I believe that he could be a cousin of Cywja.

Icek Mydlarz was born in May of 1890 and has one address that is the same as Cywja. I believe that he could be the father of Rwyka and Rajzla and Lejbusz Jankel because all of them have the same addresses.  He was deported later than all of the children which makes sense since Lodz Ghetto sent the elderly and children to the camps first. He could be the uncle of Cywja. He is the appropriate age to be the father of the children and Cywja's uncle.

I agree with your reasoning; thanks to the corroboration of the secondary sources, we can be very certain that she was deported to Chelmno.

Remember that a lack of records does not always indicate a lack of person--it might just mean a lack of records.
