I just finished watching the movie, "Voyage of the Damned," about the voyage of the S.S. St.Louis. I also happened to re-watch parts of "The Pianist" last night.

With today's apparent fall of another Arab dictator, I'm moved to remember that the modern State of Israel is the only representative democracy that has existed, since it's founding, in the entire Middle East.

Reflecting on the dramatized happenings during the period of WWII, I commit myself (again) to a policy of "Never Again." I hope that my fellow American's and Christians worldwide will keep that in mind during these troubling and transitional times.

Ok after seeing this page, i was speechless. My heart is open to all those people who suffered, and those who are surviors. When we learned about this unit in school, these thoughts kept reverbearting through my brain, and sometimes i just don't know what to do...but i feel very sorry...

I am a seventh grader that has to do a project on this for English and reading about the Holocaust and looking at the pictures from the Holocaust makes me think of my best friend who is Jewish and he goes to the same school that I am in, and it also makes me think of all the Jews that were killed in the camp and put in the smokestack to die. I am thankful that my best friend wasn't in the Holocaust. My heart goes out to all of the women, men, and children that were alive during the Holocaust. I get emotional about such things as this event. People shouldn't have to die just because they are a different person and have a different religion. I have friends that are from different religions including Jews. I don't care that there are different religions.

I would just like to take a moment and say that my heart goes out to all of those that have died in the Holocaust and a congratulations to those that have survived this tragic time... And a thank you for those that saved the Jews form the concentration camps. On this day remember those who have died and lived... Never will be forgotten.

I am more and more concerned over the growing propensity to make racist and disparaging remarks about Jewish people. It seems to me that it is becoming more acceptable. The situation in the middle east is often used as an excuse (feeble).
A knowledge of the holocaust may help remind people what such attitudes can lead to.

I cant believe that they could be so cruel to the jewish peolpe just because they were jewish. That was so inhuman. We are all people and they disorve to be treated like it. I would never do that to any person.

they were so mean because i think what they did to the jewish people was not human and insane...
we are all humans and should be treated the same way no matter what race you are.

Its sad that a young girl like Anne had to live a depressing life.If it wasn't for Anne's diary we would of not known about her sad life during the holocaust
