Student Profile: Rywka Sajet

While searching for Rywka Sajet in the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants Database we found one girl who fell in the age range that would be acceptable for School #8B. She was born in 1930 which would have made her twelve in 1942 when she was deported to Chelmno. Her occupation was Schulerin or student. There were two ghetto addresses listed so we assume that she moved from Alexhof 26 117 to another room in Alexhof 26 at a later date. The Notes section listed A.G. 10.9.42 so we know that she was deported to Chelmno on September 10, 1942. From researching we have learned  that approximately 50,000 Jews from Lodz were transported to Chelmno around that date and were killed in gas vans.
