User Comment:
While searching for Rywka Sajet in the Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants Database we found one girl who fell in the age range that would be acceptable for School #8B. She was born in 1930 which would have made her twelve in 1942 when she was deported to Chelmno. Her occupation was Schulerin or student. There were two ghetto addresses listed so we assume that she moved from Alexhof 26 117 to another room in Alexhof 26 at a later date. The Notes section listed A.G. 10.9.42 so we know that she was deported to Chelmno on September 10, 1942. From researching we have learned that approximately 50,000 Jews from Lodz were transported to Chelmno around that date and were killed in gas vans.
Expert Reviewer Comment:
Thank you for initiating research on Rywka Sajet. I know that you have developed additional information about her family, but I will comment here on your stage 1 research. I agree with your conclusion about the identity of the Rywka Sajet who signed the album. In your comments you noted a change of address, and I would say that it is not necessarily the case that there was a move involved. It may have been that the apartment or room number was simply not recorded in one of the sources. What do you think?

I agree that you have found the person who most likely signed the album. As you suggest, she would have been 11 years old in 1941, the right age to attend school #8b. Thank you for adding both addresses as well. You can go ahead and add her deportation date and destination to the next stages.
