Irena was relocated in Lodz from Frohe Gasse to Runde Gasse on October 1, 1942. She was then moved to Siegfriedstrasse in Lodz and was eventually moved again or possibly deported on July 6, 1944. According to the Lodz Ghetto Labor Card records, Irena was employed as a woman carpet worker in Teppicherzeugnisse while living in Runde Gasse. Her labor card states that her number was 25983, and she was authorized to work in section 33 since July 16, 1942. As of January 1, 1943 she was 19 years old. The card also has a small black and white photograph of her on the front right side.

I believe Helena Neumark, from Lodz Ghetto Inhabitants Record Volume 5, was possibly Irena’s mother. Helena was born on February 6, 1882. Like Irena, Helena lived within the same address in Frohe Gasse Street 16 Apartment 2 and was also moved to Runde Gasse Street 15 in September of 1942. Helena did have a job as an employee, but her record does not detail where.
