Gymnasium and high school for girls
Gymnasium and high school students were typically between 14 and 20 years old. A gymnasium student in September 1941 was likely born between 1921 and 1927.
The gymnasium and high school for girls was located on Otylii. The street name was changed to Ottilienstrasse when German occupation began in 1939. See
www.lodz-ghetto.com for a map of Otylii and the rest of the Lodz ghetto.

User Comment:
While searching in the Jewishgen database into "Pinkas HaNitzolim II", I found Maria Kaluszyner from Lodz.
I thought that Maria and Mira could be the same person.
According to the “Czestochowa Hasag Pelcery Labor Camp Index”, Maria is born in 1910 and not in 1924.
Thus, Mira and Maria are not the same person.
Approver Comment:
I wouldn't conclude definitively that Mira and Maria were not the same person. Although you are correct that their birth dates are pretty far off, it is possible that she lied about here age in 1944 (when she would have gone to Czestochowa). For the moment, I think you are right to be highly skeptical, but I wouldn't close the door on this one.
